Welcome to the Benefice and Parish of the South Chilterns Blog, I hope that you and your family are all well. This Blog has been set up to help your 4 local churches stay in contact with you during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Please be ensured that the communities that form the Benefice and Parish of the South Chilterns are very much in my thoughts and prayers during these difficult times and to allow me tell you what measures have initially been put in place by the churches of our parish. Being a part of the Church of England is going to look very different in the days ahead, especially now our churches have been officially closed by the Government. Our witness to Christ for the foreseeable future will have to be one characterised by the prayer and service we offer each day rather than meeting for corporate worship. To this end members of the ministry team will also be offering prayer in our own homes at 12noon every day and we will be using this Blog as one of our main ways of communicating with you, on it will be posted news, reflections, support for prayer and worship and links to various to other on-line church resources.
Please keep in touch and contact us if you need practical care and support or can offer it via our contact form which can be found on the Blog or alternatively you can contact us via our individual church websites.
Finally, please pray for our Government and nation, for each other, and especially for those who work in our health and emergency services.
With every blessing,
